T-REX 600 50 size Jetranger

Project just started, plans have changed, originally planned to build a Raptor 30 with a 50 size tail boom converted to electric and stuffed into a Funkey 50 size Jetranger fuselage. Current plans are to build this Jetranger as a 50 size T-REX 600 setup to look like the Action News 5 Helicopter.

Raptor TwinStar

This is an older project of stuffing a Thunder Tiger Raptor into a Funkey Twin Star fuselage. Raptors are not very good for scale because the pitch arm on the frame gets in the way. This album shows how to cut down the pitch arm and make the heli work in the fuselage.

Reference ImagesPictures of real Helicopters to assist in scale detail. I will be adding more pictures of real helicopters as I am able to make arrangements to collect them. Once the picture is clicked on and in the filmstrip view, click on the picture again to see the full size image in detail. These images are quite large, give them time to load and use the slider bars in your browser to move around the closeup of the image.

These videos cover step by step building of the Align T-Rex helicopter. Each video is around 30 minutes and covers in near real time the assembly of the helicopter. Once the series is complete you will be able to see the entire process of taking the helicopter from out of the box to first flights.
