Scale Radio Controlled Helicopters

T-REX 600 Kit arrives!

Fedex knocks on my door this morning and there it was! The brown wrapper package containing my newest project, the T-REX 600.  I am very excited about this helicopter and will be building it this weekend. I have already made a short video of the opening of the package that you can view inside the funscale gallery.  This kit was purchased from rcexperts.com out of Hong Kong. I really like their combo packages, it’s everything you need to take the heli to hover except for radio and reciever.

New Heli Project!

Yes, my new project is a 50 size Jetranger built on a Raptor converted to electric!  I am so looking forward to doing this project. This time I intend to build the body first. I usually will build the heli first and assemble the fuselage to the mechs then paint.

This time I will paint first and assemble second, why because I believe I have built enough helicopters successfully that the body will require minor mods to assemble and I can focus on paint first. I really want to take my time and make this the best scale I have ever done.

I will use tppacks conversion kits to run the raptor electric. I purchased a funkey 50 size Jetranger body. More to follow…

Welcome to the new Funscale!

Lots of changes underway and it looks like this is going to change the way the website has been used in the past. Mainly now instead of only one person being able to present their hobby activities, the site will be able to allow for many to add content as well.

This top section of the website is a blog but instead of a day to day diary, we will use this to highlight items like departments in a magazine. In addition, we have the forums and the gallery. Multiple groups of images can be added under different topic in the gallery. The forum will be great for many to trade ideas on this awsome hobby of radio controlled helicopters. So welcome aboard, I am your Admin, Cyclicpitcher!
